Tank & Containment Lining

Scrubber and absorber tower lining

Scrubbers and absorber towers face acidic condensate and wet chemical attack that thin shell steel at the internals and liquid distribution zones.

The problem

What is failing

Scrubbers and absorber towers run acidic condensate and wet chemical attack that thin the shell at the internals and the liquid distribution zones. Those wet, low-pH areas eat steel faster than the rest of the tower. A perforation there means lost capture efficiency, an emissions problem, and an unplanned outage on a unit the plant needs to keep running.

Our method

How CM Solutions US does it

Our crew prepares the tower interior and applies a chemical-resistant cold-cure lining matched to the acidic service. The internals and distribution zones get the same continuous film as the shell. Application is cold and cures during the scheduled outage, with no hot work inside the tower.

The result

The tower recoats during the planned outage and returns with a fresh chemical-resistant barrier over the shell and wet internals.
