High-Temperature Coatings

Anti-seize and component release

Bolted and threaded assemblies on hot equipment seize together, so the next overhaul means cutting parts free instead of unfastening them.

The problem

What is failing

Bolted and threaded assemblies on hot equipment fuse together as heat, scale, and corrosion lock the threads. The next overhaul stops being a teardown and turns into a cutting job. Crews burn through hours flame-cutting fasteners free, then replace studs, nuts, and sometimes the mating flanges, all of which extends the outage and the bill.

Our method

How CM Solutions US does it

CM Solutions US preps the fasteners and mating faces by hand, then applies a high-temperature anti-seize coating to the threads and contact surfaces. The work happens in our climate-controlled shop or on your site during the outage. The coating cures cold, so there is no hot work near the assembly.

The result

Components break free cleanly at the next teardown. Crews unfasten instead of cut, and the studs and flanges go back into service.
